Monique Delahoussaye is the Head Instructor at The Blazing Dragon Dojo, where she leads students of all ages through the traditional art of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate. The proud wife of a retired military serviceman, a devoted mother of six, and a grandmother, Monique brings strong family values and a deep sense of dedication into everything she teaches.
Her Karate Journey
Monique began training in 2007 and earned her Black Belt in 2013. Grounded in traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate, she developed a lasting respect for the art's history, discipline, and technical foundation — the same foundation she now passes on to every student who walks through the door.
Teaching Philosophy
Since 2013, Monique has been actively teaching, sharing her knowledge and experience while fostering an environment rooted in respect, perseverance, and personal growth. Whether she's working with a three-year-old taking their first steps on the mat or an adult chasing a new challenge, her focus stays the same: helping each student grow in confidence, character, and skill.
